Laura Hamilton got candid in view of her 64,000 Instagram followers last night, after arriving in El Ejido. The A Place In The Sun presenter will be filming in the region in Spain this week for the Channel 4 show, leaving her family back in the UK.
The 37-year-old said it is “always hard” saying bye to her husband Alex Goward, who she wed in 2012, and their two young children: Rocco and Tahlia.
The small screen favourite said she guessed her loved ones were “used to it now”, after first appearing on the property programme in 2012.
Laura started by offering an upbeat introduction after her days off, saying: “Hi! Hope you had a lovely weekend.”
She then continued: “I had such a nice weekend with my family and, do you know what, it’s always hard when it’s Sunday and I’m going away to film.
“And I have to say goodbye to them but erm… I guess they’re used to it now. Rocco and Tahlia… and Alex.”
Laura went on: “They know I have to come away, I have to work and I love my work. So, why shouldn’t I?
“So yeah, I’m in Spain right now – I landed a couple of hours ago and I’ve met the house hunters for a drink.”
The star then added: “We talked about filming for the week. So it’s time now for me to hit the hay, going to take my make-up off and go to bed.
Both facing away from the camera, Laura opted for a blue and white, patterned halteneck dress.
Her little companion meanwhile was pictured in an aquamarine swimsuit, while they both wore their hair down and natural.
Laura captioned it: “On ‘International Women’s Day’, I’m proud to be a woman and incredibly lucky to be surrounded by so many great women.
“Grandmothers, Mothers, Daughters, Friends and Work Colleagues, there isn’t one single woman I know who isn’t amazing at doing what she does. I want Tahlia to grow up learning ANYTHING is possible and I will be there to support her every step of the way.”
She added: “Happy International Women’s Day #celebrate #women #support #achieve #internationalwomensday.”
Laura was soon inundated with comments, with reality star Fran Newman-Young telling her: “Love this photo and the caption.”
Others added: “So well said, be sure you are a great woman too #very proud,” and: “What you have only comes with hard work – enjoy.”
A Place In The Sun continues today at 3pm on Channel 4.
