The soap actress joined her daughter in the delivery room and served as her birthing partner, which they previously revealed was always going to be the case because they ‘do everything together’.

Kym left her role of almost 14 years as Michelle Connor in long-running soap Coronation Street last year, announcing her exit in February 2019 – she admitted her new grandchild was one of the reasons for her exit.

She said: ‘Another big factor in my decision to take a break from Corrie is the impending arrival of my grandson. I’m looking forward to having more time to spend with him and Emilie after he’s born this summer.’

Kym revealed she is banning her pregnant daughter’s unborn child from calling her granny, nanny or grandma.

Speaking alongside her daughter on Loose Women early last year, the pop star turned actress said: ‘I can’t… no way I’m being a grandmother or granny or nanny. We looked up names on the internet. I’m going to be Lolly.’
