Tragic: Gemma Collins has spoken for the first time about giving birth to a four month old foetus when she suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage in 2012
‘But I actually gave birth to a child, sadly, and basically the child was four months old, basically I had a miscarriage but obviously the baby was formed and it died in front of me.’
‘I had to go to the hospital and my mum was there. I can remember my mum being really upset, I was in shock, I was upset.
‘That was really a shocking moment for me. But this is what I’m saying, I can talk about it now. Things sometimes are not meant to be.
Opening up: The reality star, 39, who did not realise she was pregnant at the time, said that the baby ‘died in front of her’ after giving birth at home on her landing
‘I’ll never forget it, it was a very traumatising experience because I didn’t know I was pregnant and literally I remember waking up with severe pains and my mum said to me, ‘Gemma you need to go to the toilet,’ and I was like, ‘Honey, this is not…’
‘I mean obviously I couldn’t describe… Look I try and find the bit of entertainment in this bad situation because I think that’s probably a coping mechanism of mine, I try to laugh or see a brighter side in things even though it was really traumatic.
‘But I can remember just being in utter shock. I’ve been through a lot so I feel in life, nothing shocks me.
Speaking on her podcast, Gemma said: ‘I’ve had some shocking things happen to me, I’m not sure I’ve spoken about this before’
‘So anything you could tell me now wouldn’t shock me because I’ve been through a lot and dealt with a lot but I’m grateful for those experiences because I can sit here today and relay them to other people.’
Last month, Gemma admitted she would love to welcome a baby in her 40th year, after she slimmed down to increase her chances of falling pregnant.

Love: Gemma has been dating on/off boyfriend James ‘Arg’ Argent since 2012 following his split from childhood sweetheart Lydia Bright
Way back when: Earlier this month Gemma detailed her battle with polycystic ovary syndrome battle (PCOS) by sharing a throwback of her in her twenties when she was first diagnosed
‘It would be great for me and such a positive message for all the girls out there who don’t want to rush their life, or their life has taken a different direction, like me who’s put their career first.
‘I’ve got a fabulous doctor. I can definitely have a child, he just told me it would be easier when I’m not carrying as much weight.
‘He gave me the confidence not to panic about it. He told me to lose a few stone and it will help me.
‘I am in a much better head space. It is easy to yo-yo when your life is all over the place.’
Gemma recently detailed her battle with polycystic ovary syndrome battle (PCOS), and she told the publication she was diagnosed shortly after realising she was putting on weight despite the fact she ‘was always very slim.’
Sharing a throwback snap from her twenties to tell fans about the condition, the TV star wrote a heartfelt caption about how she was diagnosed with the condition shortly after it was taken.
Polycystic ovary syndrome is a hormonal disorder causing enlarged ovaries with small cysts on the outer edges. Symptoms include menstrual irregularity, excess hair growth, acne, and obesity.
Gemma said she tries to ‘remain positive’ and urged her followers to be kind as health issues can cause people to be overweight rather than diet and exercise.
She penned: ‘As you can see guys when I was in my 20s I was very slim then I was told I had PCOS and it’s been a struggle ever since however I make the most of myself and remain positive because it’s what in your heart counts the most.
‘Sending love to all the PCOS sufferers it’s not easy and always be kind people people are not always over weight because of all the stereo typical bullying comments !!!
‘I CHOSE to RISE ABOVE and continued to promote body confidence even when I had my own personal struggles and the secret to my success was just being ME !
‘Lots of people have bullied me taunted me and also early on in the industry loose weight, your too fat to promote my brand !!! It’s endless !!! Cough cough …. where are you people now
Emotional: The TV star explained that shortly after the photo was taken she was diagnosed with the condition and it’s been a ‘struggle’ to maintain her weight ever since
‘WHERE AM I, RISE HIGHER always BELIEVE IN YOU, my heart has always been the same no matter of my size.’ (sic)
Gemma has been dating on/off boyfriend James ‘Arg’ Argent since 2012 following his split from childhood sweetheart Lydia Bright.
The Diva Forever star has been supporting her other half throughout his battle with class A drugs, after he revealed he had a cocaine addiction.
