Jennifer Lawrence is speaking out from home to urge people to support vote-at-home measures to make sure everyone’s voice is heard in the upcoming election.
The 29-year-old Oscar-winning actress wants to make sure that everyone has the chance to vote, even if they can’t make it to the polls because of the pandemic.
“First and foremost, I want to give my heartfelt sympathies to everyone who’s been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and my deepest gratitude to the emergency responders and health care workers who are risking their health every day,” Jennifer says in the video, which was released by People.
“The best thing we can do to slow the spread of this virus is to stay at home,” Jennifer continued. “But there’s still an election coming up, with millions of Americans who have yet to cast their ballot in the 2020 primaries.”
Jennifer urged people to go to Represent.Us to find out how they can vote from home and to support the organization’s efforts.
“This is extremely important. It’s our elections we’re talking about, so please help spread the word by posting on your social media with the hashtag #VoteAtHome,” she said.
