Peter Andre has shared his pain at being separated from his elderly parents during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Singer, 47, took to Instagram on Friday to share a heartfelt message about his mum and dad, who live miles away in Australia.

Alongside a throwback snap of him wrapping his arms around them, the star urged them to ‘be safe’ as he expressed how much he missed them.

He penned: ‘Miss you mum and dad every day. Especially now. Plse be safe Plse ❤️

‘For once, whether we are 12,000 miles away (like we are) or 1.2 miles away we can’t be with you…… love you both. Be careful.’

The post was flooded with supportive messages from fans, with many sharing their own experiences of being separated from loved ones during this difficult time.

Peter is incredibly close to his family, having just last month flew to Australia with eldest children Princess and Junior to visit.

Peter’s emotional plea comes just days after his Junior revealed that he is showing symptoms of coronavirus, just hours after his father expressed fears over his children contracting it.

The 14-year-old took to Instagram Stories on Wednesday and said that while he has not been diagnosed, he was making sure he was staying safe.

His words come just hours after Peter appeared on GMB to say he and the children were staying in separate rooms to his doctor wife, Emily, as she is working on the NHS frontline.

Junior, Peter’s son with ex-wife Katie Price, said: ‘These aren’t easy times as we know.

‘I am videoing this to tell you I am showing symptoms of the coronavirus. It is not me saying I have it , I am showing symptoms.

Junior is currently at home Peter, sister Princess, 12, as well Amelia, six and Theo, three, from Peter’s marriage to Emily, 30.

Peter has been home-schooling the children while Emily works and said she was taking every precaution to make sure she didn’t bring the virus home.
